The Calimesa Men's Golf Club

    • The Senior/Super Senior Club Championship was held on September 24 and 25.  Simi Ugapo shot a two day total of 153 to become the Senior Club Champion for the fifth time in last ten years.  He took the title running away from Dale Andrews by 12 shots.  Dick Pulsifer edged out Darrel Ritchie and Peter Ruggles by three shots with a two day total of 159 to become the Super Senior Club Champion.  Congratulations to our Senior and Super Senior Club Champions.

    • The Board met with General Manager, Bryan Addis, on October 15 to discuss the condition of the course.  Bryan has assured the Board that they are focused on getting the course back in shape.  A preventative maintenance program is currently being developed and will be implemented to ensure that the course doesn't fall prey to severe heat or disease again.  Feedback from Members say an improvement can already be seen.  Bryan has asked Members to come play a round to see for themselves.

    • With that said, Sunday, October 23 would be a perfect time to play a round!  The Men's Club is hosting the annual Membership Drive.  This tournament is funded by the Men's Club to encourage Members to renew their membership and also invite new Members to join.  New Members that join now will be eligible to participate in tournaments the rest of this year and all of 2017.  So now is the time to get those new Members to come see what the Calimesa Men's Golf Club is all about.  The tournament format will be an individual low gross/low net with a Callaway flight for the new Members that don't have a handicap.  There will be a shotgun start at 7:55 am.  Please come early to check in and renew your membership.  The Men's Club will also provide lunch immediately following golf.

    • Do you ever wonder how your membership dues are spent?  The SCGA (Southern California Golf Association) charges the Men's Club $33 per Member, annually.  In return, the SCGA facilitates the USGA handicap system, provides tournament software, collects membership dues on behalf of clubs, offers various tournaments such as team play, provides guidance on the interpretation and application of USGA rules, and is our Club's governing body.  As of January 1, 2017, the SCGA is raising their fee to $36.  The Board has decided to increase the annual dues from $70 to $73 to cover the increased SCGA fees.  However, a discount of $3 will be offered to all Members that renew their membership at the Membership Drive on October 23 or that renew online.  To renew online, click here and enter the promo code "ONLINE" at checkout to receive a discount.

    • There was a delay in posting scrip for the tournaments held on 9/10, 10/9, and the Senior/Super Senior Club Championship.  All scrip has been posted and available to use.  If you have any questions, please contact Tournament Chairman, Doug Owens.

    • The Tournament Committee is working on the 2017 tournament schedule.  If you have any suggestions, please contact any Board Member.

    • The annual Turkey Shoot will be held on November 6.  Pick your opponent and play for the Big Turkey ($20 Stater Bros gift card).  The looser gets a small turkey ($10 Stater Bros gift card).  Either way you get your money back so you can't loose.  There will be an optional skins game.  If you don't have a Member to play a match against, register and the Tournament Committee will try to find you one.

    • The year to date payouts have been updated.  Click here to view the complete list.

    • The annual Spoto/Ebert Tournament has been booked.  We're headed back to where it all started in Mesquite, NV.  Click here for the trip details and to download a flyer.
