- There are many reasons why being a Member of The Calimesa Men's Golf Club is special. Members have the opportunity to compete with other golfers, develop friendships, and enjoy the camaraderie of this Club to name a few. There's also a history to this Club that isn't documented or recorded anywhere. It's passed down through Member storytelling. With that said, there are Members that are part of the history that should be honored and recognized. The Bobby (Spoto) Longo Memorial remembers Members that have passed away. Lifetime Membership is awarded to current exceptional Members and has only been issued twice in the Club's history. The prevailing Board of Directors has unanimously voted on and awarded a Lifetime Membership to Tom Spoto. Click here to read the letter issued to Tom.
- The first major championship of the year will start on April 11 with the President’s Cup Qualifier. The President’s Cup is a handicapped match play tournament funded by the Men’s Club. Members that qualify will be seeded in a single elimination bracket. Click here for more information on the 2021 President's Cup.
- Just a reminder for the safety of all our Members and their families, please use social distancing before, during, and after Club tournaments and wear a mask whenever possible or when required.
- The annual Spoto/Ebert Invitational in Laughlin, NV is just a few months away. The deadline to secure a spot is April 30. The only way to secure a spot is to pay the registration fee. - Just a reminder that when signing up for a tournament, please contact Tournament Chairman, Doug Owens (909-649-1963 / ddowens929@gmail.com) by calling, texting or sending an email. Posting a comment on Facebook about playing on Sunday won't get it done. One Member telling another Member doesn't always work either. When Doug receives a phone call, text or email, he will respond to confirm he's received it. If no confirmation is received, please follow up with another phone call, text or email.
- The Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook, CA has offered a stay and play package for later this year. Please contact Michael Ebert (951-313-6605 michaelebert32@gmail.com) if there is interest in coordinating a trip.
- The 2021 tournament points leaderboard has been updated through the tournament played on 2/21/21. Click here to view the point leaders.
- For those Members that have memberships with more than one club, the SCGA has a Multi-Member Rebate Program. It allows Members to receive a portion of their multiple SCGA membership fees. For the 2021 membership year, anyone who is a member of the SCGA through more than one club is eligible to apply for and receive a rebate directly from the SCGA for any dues they pay the SCGA that exceed $55.
